Good morning,

I’m Bryan Fine, MD, MPH, CEO & Founder of Percentric. This e-newsletter – always evolving – focuses on keeping you well by addressing both non-COVID-19 and COVID-19 health concerns. We work hard to keep it real, and real-time.

1. Daily Headline Distinction: CNN v Fox

The banner news isn’t good from CNN looking at deaths nationwide continuing to increase, while the headline on Fox describes the evolution of potential treatment options. And: The Guardian describes how masks may be coming and whether they help. I’m not going to comment on any political motivations behind how each organization chooses to prioritize and headline their news – will leave that to you.

2. Struggling with Symptoms

This article in Women’s Health describes subtle symptoms that could be indicative of novel coronavirus infection. Which should demonstrate how hard it is for employers to try and develop rock-solid return-to-work criteria, as each of these symptoms (loss of smell excluded) are quite general to many viruses.

3. Price Gouging or Fair Business Practice?

In December, Percentric purchased a thermometer on Amazon for $23.99. Cost of that same thermometer today? Ruh-roh.

4. Do You Know a Frustrated Provider – Doctor(s), NPs, PAs?

We’re giving away access to our doctor-by-text software platform, PercyMD, to individual providers so they can easily help – patients, friends, family, whoever – during this time of need. Training on doctor-by-text process included. Email me.

 5. Real Text of the Day – The Diagnostic Value of Tincture of Time

Yes, we stay in touch. It’s important. And, it’s appreciated. And, it’s the right thing to do.

Stay safe, smart, and sane.
