Good morning,
I’m Bryan Fine, MD, MPH, CEO & Founder of Percentric. This e-newsletter – always evolving – focuses on keeping you well by addressing both non-COVID-19 and COVID-19 health concerns. We work hard to keep it real, and real-time.
With all the news about social distancing protests, it can make it see like the virus has us just as polarized as politics. But in fact, a new poll shows that 8 in 10 people support the Covid-19 shut down.
Apparently, you should put them on your face. Yes, really.
Check out any of the downward dog apps to help you keep moving your body. All of them are free through the month of May for everyone, and through June for students, teachers, and healthcare workers.
Turns out there’s science that those who help others really are helping themselves, too. So check out this list of ways you can help those who need it most during this pandemic.
Today’s question: “I’m following all the social distancing guidelines, but my brother and his wife aren’t. It’s driving me crazy. Do you have any good resources to convince them to take this more seriously?”
First, let me just say you’re not the only one with this concern. I like this article for ideas on how to approach people in your life who aren’t practicing social distancing. For me, I think it’s important to put yourself in their shoes and ask yourself why they might be making the choices they are and trying to practice empathy for them. Ultimately though, you can only decide what you’re going to to.
