Today’s question: It really seems like we have overreacted with the coronavirus response. The death toll is way lower than they originally predicted already. Do you think all this social distancing is over the top?
Let’s be honest, all of us, myself included, have wondered this, especially as the stay at home orders and social distancing has dragged on. But what helps me when I’m getting frustrated by these restrictions is remembering that with public health threats, you have to be willing to look like you overreacted. In fact, if you do your job right, it will almost certainly look like you overreacted. We are cozying up to that blue area in the picture below right now.
